Phatcat Takes the Bodog Poker Open
Poker player Shawn Luman, probably better known by his poker screen name “phatcat” captured the title of Bodog Poker Open Champion this weekend, besting over 1,800 players to earn $76K+ for his impressive win. Aside from the glory of winning this particular tournament, Shawn also has the distinction of being the first Bodog Poker Open champion.
The Bodog Poker Open represents the largest prize pool in Bodog Poker history, with over $675K in prize money (of which the Bodog Poker Room contributed $75K). In addition to his cash prize, phatcat also scored an ever-so-impressive Omega Speedmaster watch, valued at nearly $4K.
